Looking At Aurora: Does Life Imitate Art, Or Vice Versa?
There is something to be said of the age-old question: does life imitate art, or vice versa?
For the survivors of the Aurora, Colorado shooting spree on July 20, 2012, I would imagine that’s a question to which there is no answer.
Obviously, I wouldn’t dare to divine the thoughts that come in the wake of such a tragic experience.
But when a movie features a scene in which a masked man walks onto a stock exchange trading floor, in a room full of people crowded around computer screens, and begins shooting, and that movie is interrupted by a man wearing a mask aiming his gun indiscriminately at an unarmed and otherwise occupied crowd – you have to wonder…
